In a segment later in the show Oprah and friends talk about how life offers "teachable moments."

I was beginning to think I was the only person left in America who cares about grammar! I have forgotten much about punctuation over the years, however, so forgive me if I am lacking in that department.
ReplyDeleteOne of my recent pet peeves is the use of the word less when it should be fewer. TNT has been bragging recently that they have less commercials than other networks.
I was also watching the Weather Chanel during a recent hurricane in Texas, and noticed that nost of the reporters on there cannot pronounce the word deal. They went on and on about the weather those people were having to dill with. They also reported about the conditions in The Golf of Mexico. Perhaps after their shifts were over, they all went out and enjoyed a mill together!
